1. General Overview

The Robo Obstacle Race challenges participants to navigate a track filled with natural and mechanical obstacles using their radio-controlled (RC)/ bluetooth bots. The objective is to complete the track in the shortest possible time while overcoming all obstacles.

2. Team Composition

  • Each team can have a maximum of “4 participants”.

  • Only “one bot per team is allowed”.

  • Teams must bring their own RC bot for the competition.

  • Bots must use wireless communication methods such as “Bluetooth, WiFi, or traditional RC systems”.

  • “Wired communication is not allowed”.

3. Bot Specifications

Size Limits:

  • Length: Maximum “30 cm”.

  • Width: Maximum “30 cm”.

  • Height: Maximum “20 cm”.

  • Weight: Must not exceed “3 kg”.

  • Power Supply: Maximum allowable voltage is “24V”.

  • Control Method: All bots must be radio/ bluetooth controlled. No autonomous or pre-programmed navigation is allowed.

  • Components: Bots may use any material or components, provided they comply with size, weight, and voltage limits.

4. Judging and Protests

  • A panel of judges will oversee the race.

  • Any disputes must be raised “immediately after the race”.

  • The judges’ decisions are final.

5. Track Design and Obstacles

The track will include:

  • Rocky Terrain: Uneven surfaces that test the Bot’s stability.

  • Muddy Patches: Soft, slippery areas that may slow or trap the bot.

  • Up-Down Slopes: Inclines and declines that challenge climbing abilities.

  • Zigzag Sections: Sham turns designed to test maneuverability.

6. Race Format

  • Each team will have “up to five attempts” to complete the course.

  • The “best time” from these attempts will be recorded as the team’s official time.

  • All obstacles must be cleared for a valid race completion.

  • A “10-second penalty” will be added for each missed or improperly cleared obstacle.

7. Timekeeping

  • The race timer will start when the bot crosses the “start line” and stop once it crosses the “finish line”.

  • All obstacles must be tackled in sequence.

  • If a bot flips or gets stuck for more than “10 seconds”, it must be manually reset, incurring a “time penalty”.

9. Power and Safety

  • The bot’s “voltage” must not exceed “24V”. Exceeding this limit results in disqualification.

  • Bots must not include any “sharp objects” or “dangerous components” that could harm participants or damage the track.

  • Teams must handle their bots responsibly. “Reckless driving or behavior that endangers others will lead to “disqualification”.

10. Penalties and Disqualification

Penalties will be enforced for:

  • Failing to interact with mechanical obstacles: “10-second penalty for each”.

  • Exceeding the “size, weight, or voltage limits”: Immediate “disqualification”.

  • “Damaging” the track or another team’s bot: “disqualification”.

11. Awards and Recognition

  • Cash prize, Trophy, and certificates

12. Final Notes

  • Teams are encouraged to “inspect the track” before the race begins.

  • Each team is responsible for “maintaining their bot” during the race.

  • “Good sportsmanship” is encouraged, and participants should have fun!
